Hi, my name is Long Nguyen, I was born and raised in DaNang, Vietnam, a renowned location known for its picturesque bridges, rivers, and one of the best sunrise views in central Vietnam. Like many Vietnamese families back then, my parents yearned for prosperity to secure a brighter future; leading my father to venture to America in search of new opportunities. Meanwhile, my mother dedicated her youth to nurturing my brother and me, tirelessly working multiple jobs such as sewing and hairdressing while awaiting the joy my father promised to bring back home

During my youth, I dreamed and lived in my little world. I wished I were a superhero, magician, doctor, racer, and many more, yet art was not something I ever dreamed of

I moved to the new world during my middle school years, I didn't reflect much on my birth country; however, as time elapsed, I realized how much I missed it. It has been five years since I last visited my homeland, and the longing for the beauty, aesthetics, friendly locals, and delectable cuisine has become overwhelming. To reconnect with my roots, I began illustrating more about Vietnam and Asia, resulting in a vast collection of stories and subject matters inspired by my city. My work emphasizes bold and striking elements, each brushstroke or pen stroke conveying an awe-inspiring beauty that builds magical worlds, captivating the viewer and leaving them wanting more.

 

From the enigmatic folklore of Vietnam to the vibrant customs and traditions of Asia, Whether it’s a painting or a digital piece, my desire is for my clients to be uplifted, to dream of a world that’s more resplendent and enchanting through the lens of my artwork
